Newton Wireless Broadband  

For those out of reach of conventional broadband, we offer a wireless service.

This is currently covering the districts of Newton Upon Rawcliffe and Stape and is continuing to progress further into the countryside, albeit very slowly due to the number of uncooperative trees that insist on being in the way!!!

The system depends on a mesh of repeaters which consists of each customer's system automatically making a connection available to their not too distant neighbour.

We would like to express our thanks to all those that are helping to set up and maintain the Wireless Broadband facility for Stape, Cropton Forest and Upper Raindale and hopefully even further!!

We would especially like to thank the Forestry Comission, Yorkshire Water, Rawcliffe Motors, Cropton Forest Lodge, Expedition Foods  and local landowners for permission to enter and install equipment on or near their property.

We would also like to thank those who are patiently waiting to be connected. Some folks may be disappointed as it may well be impossible for the signal to reach them at the moment or because there is no connected neghbour close enough to retransmit the signal to their location.
